Future Forward

Are you regressing or progressing? Or are you just stuck in neutral? I know it's a lot going on these days with family, careers, and the economy. However, God made it very clear that His only direction for us is forward, not neutral, and definitely not backward. Imagine trying to drive your car in neutral, you'll never get anywhere.

You'll cause some major damage trying to drive to your destination in reverse. But when its in drive, you reach your expected end. Whether your goal is to be CEO of a company or a great spouse, your gear must be in drive. You might have to make some left and right turns, go up and down some hills, change speeds, ride through some storms, and you might even hit a few potholes on the way. Nevertheless, you'll make it there. God is a futurist.

He always speaks in the future because He's not concerned with our past. So when you hear a voice bringing up your past, please know that that is not God. Paul says..."forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead" (Philippians 3:13 AMP). In the Message bible it translates "I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward...I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back."

I like the Message bible because it's raw and uncut. The word onward means to continue in a forward direction. In other words, God is saying "come on, let's make progress." Wow! God is ready, are you?!? Don’t regress, progress! Your future is looking forward to it. #FutureFocus #FowardFocus
